Mass flowmeter
A mass flowmeter is a measuring device of Débit based on the Masse and not on the Volume.
Mass flowmeter versus voluminal flowmeter
A mass flowmeter has the large advantage, compared to a voluminal flowmeter to measure the quantity of Matière the beam, rather than to measure volume the beam which will have to often be corrected then by the Densité of the product considered. It is often more expensive and more delicate to implement, but makes it possible to free from the error due to the variations of density of matter the beam.

Flowmeter for purpose Coriolis
The Débitmètre for purpose Coriolis most known and the most are used mass flowmeters. Its principle of operation is simple. A tube out of U is crossed by the Fluide which one wants to measure the flow. The tube is subjected to a side Oscillation. One measures the Déphasage (or the constraint thanks to Jauge S of constraint) between each angle of U. More the quantity of matter crossing the tube is important, plus this dephasing is tall.
It should be noted that this type of flowmeter does not use and is insensitive with the effect Coriolis caused by the terrestrial Rotation.
