Maslama Al-Mayriti
Abû-l-Qâsim Maslama ibn Ahmad Al-Faradi Al-Hasib Al-Qurtubi Al-Mayritî rear RTL ''' أبوالقاسممسلمةبن ''' أحمدالمجريطي, Mathematician, Chemist and Astronomer of Al-Andalus, born with Madrid in 950, died in 1008, known as the Master of the mathematician of Al Andalus.
Cité by Ibn Khaldoun in its Muqaddima. It observed the rule of the conservation of the matter. It translated and commented on the work of Ptolémée. It was interested in the history of sciences in old civilizations.
It published several works which us parvenu of which Rutbatû Al-Hakam (RTL arرتبةالحكم), one of the most important works of chemistry in Al-Andalus; Ghayatû Al-Hakim (the bus of Wise) translated into Latin under Alphonse X Wise the as well as works of comment of Al-Khuwārizmī and books in geometry and arithmetic.
