Mary Caroline Pierce , born the January 15th 1975 with Montreal with the Quebec of an American father and a French mother , is a player of Tennis. Mary Pierce is holder of the two passports, French and American, but defends the French colors in Fed Cup.

In Large Slam it is quarter of finalist to Open of beaten Australia 6-3 6-2 by Martina Hingis, 8th of finale to US Open, 1ier turn in Wimbledon and 3rd Roland Garros turn. It is quarter of finalist in Masters beaten by Martina Hingis 7-6 6-3.

1999 is also a very beautiful season for the Frenchwoman who reaches 4 finales with Gold Coast, Hamburg, Rome, Filderstadt and gains the tournament of Linz 7-6 6-1 vis-a-vis her compatriot Sandrine Testud. She is quarter of finalist to Open of Australia, beaten for the third consecutive time by Martina Hingis. She loses in quarterfinal US Open face aà Lindsay Davenport 2-6 6-3 7-5 after having had 2 match points. She once again finishes the year by a quarterfinal in Masters, beaten by Hingis 6-1 6-2.

In 2000 , playing a tennis of great quality, Mary is semi-finalist with Indian Wells by beating Serena Williams 6-1 6-2. It gains the tournament of Hilton Head vis-a-vis Sanchez-Vicario 6-1 6-0, in semi-final it beats 6-1 6-1 Monica Seles. In Roland Garros it gains its second tournament of the Large Slam 6-2 7-5 vis-a-vis Conchita Martinez. In quarterfinal it beats Monica Seles 4-6 6-3 6-4 by carrying out a very famous gaining point played between the legs. In semi-final it beats the number one world Martina Hingis 6-4 5-7 6-2. Associated with Martina Hingis it also gains the double.
