Synopsis
August 1st
Analyzes
The film tackles the question of the relation " amoureuse" between Jesus and Marie-madeleine and takes as a starting point the point of view of the Théologie French N Jean-Yves Leloup, translator of the Évangiles of Marie, Philippe and Thomas, who plays his own part in film. Jean-Yves Leloup believes in the " realism of Incarnation" , in the light of the History of the canonical Gospels and apocryphal books and theology. Juliette Binoche made film in particular because of the interest for the modernity of this revaluation of the character of Marie-madeleine, who made run much ink in criticism since the success of the Da Vinci Code of Dan Brown. Indeed, the novel left in 2003 has as thesis that Marie-madeleine is the woman of Jesus and the mother of her children.
