Marxologist

A marxologist is a specialist in the work of Karl Marx, which studies of them certain aspects or totality. That requires to be able to read the original texts, which are generally in German, but Marx wrote texts in other languages: French, old Greek, English…

A marxologist is not inevitably of agreement with Karl Marx: they can be in particular academics (for example Raymond Aron). Certain marxologists are also Marxiste S or Marxien S.

The term was used for the first time by David Riazanov (in Russian), and was introduced in French by Maximilien Rubel.
