Marvel (re-examined)

Marvel was one of the first reviews of the Éditions Lug to publish Comic S Marvel in France. Telling the adventures of the Superman of Stan Lee, the first number was published in France the April 10th 1970. The pages were at the time in two-color printing. It there have only 13 numbers, the last going back to April 1971. First of all in small size until N°7 then with the format 17 X 24 cm until the end. The couverure of the n°8 is carried out by Jean Frisano.
It seems that the commission of Censure asked for the stop of the publication because of the horrific character of the Thing (alias Ben Grimm). The same character who makes a tobacco near the young people with the cinema. The fourteenth ventures Fantastic Four which was announced appeared finally several years later in large size in albums of luxury under the title the Inhuman ones are among us under a painting of cover of Jean Frisano. Spider-Man was transferred in Strange like Captain Marvel I (but well later).
Today, these thirteen numbers are very snuffed by the collectors and the prices are high.
