In 1974, Wein and Wolfman leave to work for Marvel as protected from the writer from the time, Roy Thomas. When this last left Marvel, Wein and Wolfman succeeded to him, Wein being in load of the comics color, and Wolfman of the titles in Black and White. One year later, Wolfman replaced Wein for the titles color.
During all its Marvel period, Wolfman scénarisa Amazing Spider-Man (where it was one of the Co-creators of the Black Chatte), Fantastic Four and Doctor Strange . It Co-created also Nova, the Super-héros teenager, title in which Wolfman tried to recapture the " spirit; fun" who reigned at the time Stan Lee/Jack Kirby.
Its work more recognized was however for Tomb off Dracula , a comic of horror without interest that Wolfman transformed into a Gothic work rich and complex, being combined perfectly with the blow of pencil of Gene Colan. While being based on the history of Bram Stoker, Wolfman created its own mythology Vampire and created many characters, of which Blade. This title had a certain influence on Joss Whedon during the creation of Buffy . (Joss Whedon being an enthusiastic amateur of comics)
In 1980, Wolfman returned to cd. because of conflict with Jim Shooter, the new editor association of Marvel. It joined the draftsman George Pérez and proposed to start again a series which had already been cancelled twice: the Teen Titans
The New Teen Titans was born, and of new characters were created (Raven, Starfire and Cyborg) in addition to the team of the origins (Robin, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash and Beast Boy - famous Changelin). It was the first success of regard of cd. since good a long time and the title became a true serious competitor of Marvel since the end of the year 60. It was the best sale of cd. to the beginning of the year 80 and thanks to this series the firm reconsidered the front of the scene.
At this period, Wolfman also collaborated with Gil Kane on Superman , and joined Colan (which also had left Marvel for cd. to him) for a title, Night Force which lasted little of time.
In 1985, Pérez and Wolfman launched Crisis one Infinity Earths , a series in 12 numbers left for the 50 years cd. The series sees ravelling thousands of characters, and tells a history which goes from the creation of the Univers at its end. One attends dead many heroes, like with the integration of characters resulting from other editors. Wolfman made a success of a major feat of ingenuity: that to rewrite 50 years of history.
Wolfman was also implied in the revival of the history of Superman. He given to the last style Lex Luthor and was the first scenario writer on the new title Adventures off Superman .
When Pérez left the Titans in 1986, Wolfman continued the series with other draftsmen - Jose Luis Garcia Lopez, Eduardo Barreto and Tom Grummett - but the series never had again same critical and commercial success. Wolfman even said to him that it arrived at end of what it had to tell. It left the title with its request to work on another series. However cd. did not cancel the series of the Titans, but started again it with another creative team.
Since then, Wolfman wrote less and less for the comics and turned to other means of expression, particularly the Animation and the Télévision. Its series The Man Called CENTERS (left in the middle of the years 1990) is an interesting point of view on the idea of Cyborg S and on what being " means; humain"
