Maruca
The Maruca is a system of a conception French of Ground-to-air missile short range.
History
Since the second world war, French works on anti-aircraft missiles, thus the Maruca inherited directly the German Schmetterling. Research began in 1949, and the program was stopped after approximately 200 shootings. The liquid formula propellent + guidance by wire was doubly unsuitable with operational employment. However, this research precedes the development of the Masurca in Ruelle.
