Martyrium (group)

Martyrium is a group of symphonic Black metal Maltais. It uses a large panel of sonorities, such as for example the voices (4-5 different).

History

The Martyrium group was creates in October 1999 by Count Mortem with four other members. One year later, Martyrium gives its first concerts… Sure on them, the members decide to record their first album at " Studios" temple; with Malta. In November 2001, leaves first CD “Withering in Voluptuous Embrace”. After a few sold months, and 500 CD, several labels propose with the group to sign a contract. Finally, they sign with a label Mexicain, American Line Production, which decides the same year to give the album on sale. In autumn 2004, the group starts its first round. It starts in Belgium, then in the north of the France in company of Morrigun, Earaction, DER Kaiser Der Narren, Kryzees and Positiv Hate. Five months later, Martyrium and Slit supported Rotting Christ in Malta. At end of the summer 2005, the group sets out again for another excursion in Central Europe. It took part in the round of Arachnid, a group of Death metal Maltais. The second album, entitled The Carnage Reads By Darkness was launched in 2005 with American Line Poduction .
