Martine St-Clearly
Martine St-Clearly , born Martine Nault (Montreal, July 22nd, 1962 -) is a auteure-compositeure-interprets Québécois.
Biography
Martine St-Clearly begins her career in 1980 in the first Québécois version from the musical comedy Starmania of Luc Plamondon and Michel Berger. It holds the role of Hook to with it. The song " Monopolis" then becomes the first great success of the young singer.
Thereafter, she sings in particular in duet with Gilbert Bécaud (" The love is mort" in 1981) like with Nicole Martin (" I it aime" in 1985). Among his principal songs, often written by Luc Plamondon, Claude-Michel Schönberg and Marc Lavoine, one retains " The son of Superman" in 1982, " There is love in the air" in 1983, " Simplement" and " One goes aimer" in 1984, " This evening the love is in your yeux" , " When I fall in amour" and " Tell me revenir" in 1986, " Dance with moi" , " In the middle of the désert" and " Insane of vous" in 1988, and " Wash, lavez" in 1989. It is also chorus-singer for some albums of Claude Dubois and for one of the albums of the anglophone formation The Box. It remakes Starmania in 1988, triumphing this time at Paris and always in its role over Hook.
In the years 1990 and 2000, it still sings in duet, this time with Gino Vannelli (" The love is loi" in 1993, French version of the song " Wheels off life ") and is distinguished with the songs " Desire = Danger" and " I do not know any more how I appelle" in 1990, " Wear of the jours" and " A length chemin" in 1996, " Débranche" and " A jour" in 2001 and " Moon River" in 2004. Martine St-Clearly is done however rarer, and it is only after the publication of its album " A happiness fou" , in 2001, which it goes up on scene, after almost a decade of absence.
In 2002, Martine belonged to the Québécois troop " Ten commandements". The following year, in 2003, Martine becomes actress within the framework of an emission of the " Men in quarantaine" presented to Série +, and it animates the history of the year 1981 with the emission " 80" GENERATION; , one of the ten emissions devoted to the Eighties on the MusiMax chain.
Later, on November 2nd 2004, Martine St-Clearly presents her very new album entitled " All that I ai" who includes/understands twelve new songs. An album which speaks about love, doubt, hope, complicity and the ceaseless search of happiness. During the season 2005 - 2006, Martine makes a return to the stage in her spectacle drawn from its album " All that I ai" appeared two years earlier.
Between the spectacles, Martine records a series of 13 emissions entitled " Beauties of the monde" who makes us penetrate in the fantastic universe of the cosmetics and the perfumes. This emission is presented on the Channel Escape.
In 2007, Martine is at the head of poster of the first edition of " Voice in Églises". A compilation recalling its 25 years of career is currently in preparation.
