Martina Franca

Martina Franca is a Italian city of the Province of Tarente in the area of the Pouilles.

Events

  • Martina Franca is known for the festival of the valley of Itria. Created in 1976, it takes place every year in summer. It presents operas, in majority of works generally little played in addition and primarily resulting from the Italian and French repertories of the 19th century. The representations are held in the main courtyard of the ducal palate.
