Martin Smolka

Martin Smolka , born with Prague the August 11th 1959, is a Czech Compositeur . He studied with the Conservatoire of Prague (1978 - 1981) and with the Académie of Arts and the Music (1981 - 1986).

He became in 2003 professor of composition to the Academie Janáček of the Performing arts with Brno. He teaches in an occasional way in various schools and European universities among which the Université McGill with Montreal, Hochschule Musik und Theater Winterthur, Hochschule Musik und Theater (Zurich), the Université Charles (Prague), Hochschule für Musik (Würzburg), Académie of music Karol Szymanowski (Katowice), Académie of music of Cracow.

In addition to one traditional repertory, he is the author of several film musics.
