Two news

For the amateurs of Jimi Hendrix, the interest of compilation lay in the publication of two news: Georgia Blues (7: 09) and Blue Window (12: 51). The remainder is made up only of titles appearing already in the catalog proposed by Experience Hendrix LLC (it is the second version studio of Red House which is present here, which avoids making doubled bloom with that of Jimi Hendrix: Blues ).

Georgia Blues is in fact a title of Lonnie Youngblood where Hendrix comes to lend its services of sideman of luxury. The good surprise lies in the date of the registration: March 19th, 1969. It is thus Hendrix at the top of its art which one can hear, answering the voice warmly bluesy of Youngblood, been useful by an effective group. The grid of lorgne agreements a little towards the jazz by exceeding the standard framework of the three agreements (very near to the version of Stormy Monday of the Allman Brothers Band).

The other new is well-known specialists: it is thus about Blue Window , presented in a seriously published version. Recorded there too in March 1969, it is in fact a title of Buddy Miles Express train where Hendrix is essential as a leader. It is a rather original blues: the throbbing rate/rhythm, punctuated by coppers, almost obsessional, serves the individual interventions perfectly. The title does not certainly have the force of the great classics of the Hendrixien repertory, but the 12 minutes are more than pleasant. The rhythmic variations starting at the 7th minute show the dynamism inherent in the music of Hendrix.
