Martin Scorsese present is an American company of production of Film S and a foundation created by the realizer Martin Scorsese in 1992.

History

The purpose of it is to encourage the restoration and the safeguarding of the world cinematographic inheritance. Films like:

were thus again visible with the cinema.

Scorsese present… the blues

At the time of the 100e birthday of the Blues, the year 2003 was declared “year of the blues” in the United States. Scorsese wanted to give the possibility to some of the most creative scenario writers of expressing their passion for this music.

In left a collection 7 films which was to make it possible young people to discover the blues, to appreciate the genius of it, to seize the origin of it (the fight against slavery) and to include/understand of them the bonds with the music which they listen to.
