Martin Roumagnac
Martin Roumagnac is a film French carried out in 1946 by Georges Lacombe.
It is the only film which joins together with the screen the mythical couple of Marlène Dietrich and Jean Gabin. It will be the first and the last time, since they will separate little from time afterwards.
Synopsis
In a small town of province, White Ferrand, adventurous with the good mannerss, hopes to marry a rich person consul, Mr. de Laubry, whose woman is seriously sick. One evening when it attends a match of boxing, Blanche meeting Martin Roumagnac, building contractor, which falls passionately in love with it. It is the beginning of a passion connection, to which Blanche lends itself initially by imagination then by love. Martin buys a ground, makes him build a large villa, ruins himself for it. To died of the woman of the consul, this last arises in front of Blanche and the sum to make a choice. Persuaded that it will leave it, keep silent Martin Blanche and puts fire at their house. With the lawsuit, Martin Roumagnac is discharged for lack of evidence…
