History
The oldest establishment is a Villa Gallo-Roman E located at the North-East of the commune, with the Hestigeac locality. A monetary treasure was found there in the middle of the XXe century. The commune itself is resulting from a hospital templier, depend on the Commanderie of the Temple of Bordeaux. The city is also common of Garnison since the XIXe century, with the establishment of the Camp of Souge, now occupied by the 2nd Logistic Brigade of the Army and the 503e Régiment of the Train.
