The headlight activity has Marthod is football. Marthod Sport carries high the colors of the village in all Savoy because this one evolves/moves in the departmental elite in this season 2007-2008. The club, founded in 1972, had already known such a level between 1995 and 1997 but 2 consecutive descents had made fall the club in the 1st division from district. The reserve team has fought for several seasons to extirpate the 3rd division and account on a young and promising manpower. Places and monuments

There exist two forts with Marthod. - The first, called " EXTREMELY Of BATTERIE" is restored since 1998 by an association made up of a small team of voluntary… the Fort of the Battery is located on the heights, to 1440 m of altitude in the place known as " Alpettaz" … Vis-a-vis Mont Blanc, it overhangs a cliff and dominates the valley of Ugine. The sight of up there is impregnable. One can visit it, in general the weekend. There is 40mn of walk approximately to reach it since the carpark. it second, called " EXTREMELY Of ESTAL" , is located in a hamlet named " Bulles" forming part him also of the commune of Marthod. It is a deprived fort, which is interdict with the visit.
