Martherenges

Martherenges is a common Suisse of the Canton of Vaud, located in the District of Moudon.

Geography

Small commune sitting on the plate of the Jorat between Sottens and Thierrens. Strong of its nearly 70 inhabitants, it is directed more towards one agricultural economics.

Overhanging the valley of the Broye in the south and Menthue in north, it halfway offers an ideal point of view between the the Jura and the the Alps.

Curiosities

This commune owes its popularity with the level of the cantonal spheres to its stubbornness with always voting with the back of the majority!

But also for the visit of General Guisan after a voting in connection with the army. Martherenges had been the only commune, with another of the canton of Zoug, to have accepted the new law with 100% of yes.
