Marthe Hanau (January 1st 1886 with Paris - July 14th 1935 with the Prison of Fresnes) was a businesswoman which was implied in important a financial Scandale. She is called “banking mad years”. Jewish part of nothing, Marthe Hanau made fortune by proposing very high interest rates and defied capitalism by encouraging the popular saving. It posted its nonconformism by its homosexuality. Him at least two beautiful quotations are owed: " What is hard, she said, it is the wall. To know that a thing is true and not to be able the prouver." It is it which still says: " The only modern machine, effective, it is the money, the only means of overcoming in a world corrompu."

Its family of German Jewish origin, would come from the town of Hanau to Germany.

The Hanau business

It had founded in 1925 a financial sheet, the Gazette of the franc , which had quickly been essential by the quality of his/her collaborators and that of the personalities of the economic world and policy, of which it published the interviews. In July 1934, Marthe Hanau is condemned to three years of firm Prison. It Suicide the July 14th 1935 using a Barbiturate tube of S.

It resided in its Private mansion at 10, rue de la Tourelle at Boulogne on the Seine (currently in the department of the Hauts-de-Seine).
