Marsupial cat with mottled tail
The marsupial cat with mottled tail ( Dasyurus maculatus ) still called Dasyure tiger is the largest marsupial carnivore of the Australian continent.
It belongs to the family of the Dasyuridae which includes/understands the marsupial cats, the Diable of Tasmanie and which included/understood the Thylacine. There are on the whole 6 species of marsupial cats, 4 in Australia and 2 in New Guinea New Guinea.
Description
the dasyures tigers measure between 35 and 75 cm length and have a tail being able to reach 50 cm. The females are smaller than the males. They weigh approximately 4 kg compared with 7 kg for the males.
They have a thick fur which can go from the clear deer to brown or with the black with small white spots on all the body except for the bulky tail which can present a white spot at the end.
Biology
Their food mode includes/understands a large variety of preys:

birds, rodents, other small marsupials, reptiles and insects.
They are climbing goods but they pass the majority of their time on the ground. Their activity is night, but they spend long periods to be heated by the sun. They nest in the benches of rocks, hollows or small caves.
Reproduction
The females have a range per annum with 4 to 6 small. gestation is 21 days then the young people remains still 7 weeks in the Marsupium and becomes independent at the end of 18 weeks. Sexual maturity is reached around one year and the lifespan lies between 4 and 5 years.
