Two castle are located on the commune of Marquein: the castle of Marquein to the bottom of the village, recognizable with its monumental roof out of slate and the castle of Fajac typical red brick Relenque of Lauragais perched on a neighbouring hill.

This part of Lauragais is quite specific of share its landscape very undulating which leads the walkers to be lost with happiness. Recently, of many way pedestrian were reabilities and allow great excursions.
