Marollette

Marollette is a common French, located in the department of the the Sarthe and the area Pays of the Loire.

Its inhabitants is called Marollettines and Marollettins.

The communes bordering are: Contilly in north, Montgaudry and Suré in the east, Mamers in the south, Saint-Girder and Aillières-Beauvoir in the west.

History

  • Between 1790 and 1794 Marolle absorbs Saint Aubin of Grois to become Marollette.
In his topographic dictionary published in 1777, André Rene Paige qualifies Saint Aubin of " petit" borough: The cure counts 40 communicants. Extended on only one quarter of mile, it contains only five farms or borderings.
