History
Quoted under the terms of Maroilles cheese-The-Braults, Maroilles cheese-the-Beraux, Marojalum, Marolloe Braudi, Marolloe Beraldorum.Before 1790, Maroilles cheese and Avesnes divided the seat of the parish.
1191. Jean de Talvas, baron of the Saosnois, confirms the load of the church of Maroilles cheese to the monks of Saint-Vincent that had given them Hugues de Merlai.
1229 Mathieu Palle founds the priory of Saint-Symphorien attached to the Abbaye of the Seam to the Mans.
