Marla

Marla is a islet High of the island of the Réunion located in the highest part of the circus of Mafate, in the south of this one.

Inaccessible by the road, this village can be reached with foot via a Sentier of great excursion which crosses the downtown area of Cilaos then climbs until the Col of Taïbit, collar of mountain from where one can contemplate the islet.

This last fact office of crossroads for the hikers since the GR. R2 escapes towards the North-West in direction from Roche Punt whereas the GR. R1 moves towards the News by north. This last route gives access to the plate of Kerval. An alternative moves towards the Col of the Oxen, which dominates the circus close to Salazie.

With the shade of the Three Salazes, rock formations recognizable between all, Marla developed much these last years. New Gîte S is open there.
