Markervaart
The Markervaart is a channel of the Holland-Septentrional .
It connects the crossroads of the Zaan and the Nauernaschevaart to Westknollendam with the Canal of Holland-Septentrional the, in the west of West-Graftdijk. The channel passes to Markenbinnen (which lend its name to him) and to De Woude. Markervaart in particular makes it possible to connect Zaandam to Alkmaar.
The orientation of the channel is almost perfectly North-South. Its length is of 3,9 km and its depth varies between 2 and 3 meters.
