Marius Borgeaud
Marius Borgeaud is a Swiss painter born with Lausanne the September 21st 1861, died with Paris the July 16th 1924.
It begins painting tardily whereas it is old of forty years. Influenced by the Impressionism, its work is made up of approximately 300 fabrics carried out in twenty years and representing for the majority of the interiors such as rooms or the scenes of street. The Brittany is often the scene of its tables which contain a multitude of details.
Atypical painter, it was always inspired by silence and the detail. Artist meticulous person, it destroyed the fabrics which did not approach its vision sufficient.
A documentary film is devoted to him, suspended time, on the traces of Marius Borgeaud , of the Swiss realizer Stephan Riethauser.
