Marisa Paredes

Maria Luisa Paredes Bartolomé is a Spanish actress, born the April 3rd 1946 with Madrid (Spain).

It was actress of theater, cinema and television. It has a girl with the cinematographic director Isasi Isasmendi.

The French public especially discovers it in Stiletto heels ( Tacones lejanos ), in a role of mother unworthy, capricious, and finally sincerely repenting. Pedro Almodóvar offers her more beautiful roles to him, as in the known not very the Fleur of my secrecy ( Flor semi secreto ) and All on my mother ( sober Todo semi veined ). It should be noted its appearance in multilingual film Three lives and only one dead , of Chilean the Raoul Ruiz, at the sides of Marcello Mastroianni, Italian who plays his last film there, and the Frenchwoman Arielle Dombasle.

She often appears, through her roles, like a woman very hard, obstinate, with the ideas as baroques as tough, where the love plays much, of the men in general, even of the women ( All on my mother , with its assistant). The directors seem to influence by his statute of actress of theater which reveals it as artist within their own work, and by a charm which ends up pointing behind an angular and very hard face, because of a rather dense brittleness and a humor deadpan enough disarming. In Speaks with it , Almodóvar makes a wink with All on my mother : Marisa Paredes and Cecilia Roth, the two main actors of preceding film, appear a few seconds one beside the other with a spectacle of cabaret.

It car-parody in Reinas in the role of an actress who claims more to be shocked of nothing since it “turned with Almodóvar” , but which does not accept the homosexuality of his/her son. Later, it is confused by crowd with the actress Carmen Maura… who plays another part in this same film.
