By chronological order of the told history:
Unfortunately for the French-speaking reader, The Mists off Avalon was adapted in French, rather than translated. The 2 volumes of the adaptation count less than 850 pages to the format pocket, against more than 1000 in original version, in a cast iron of smaller body. Large parts of the text of origin disappeared from the French version. It is noted for example that the last part of chapter 2 of the english language version does not appear at the end of the chapter corresponding of the French edition (chapter 1 of the Dames of the lake ). This missing piece is spread out over a page and brings many complements on the political aspect of the intrigue. This diagram is repeated regularly, whereas certain passages are completely rewritten in French, rather than translated.
By chronological order of the events:
The first two parts of the Secret of Avalon proceed before the events of the Priestess of Avalon , whereas the third part their is posterior.
