Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is a video game of race produces by Nintendo and left in 2003 on GameCube.

Chronologically, this play is the fourth episode of the Série of video game: Mario Kart . It takes again the majority of the elements of the Gameplay of its predecessors.

Gameplay

The great innovation of this episode is to make you choose two characters who will share a single kart. The machines are not inevitably any more of the karts but can be cars, barrels with casters or even of the prams.

According to the characters selected by the player, only certain vehicles are available. The characters divide themselves into three categories:

The karts which it is possible to select correspond to this classification. The player leads a kart of the category corresponding to heaviest of the two selected characters. The feelings of piloting relatively changed since the preceding episodes. The controlled skids are always possible, with, as in Mario Kart 64, the light acceleration which starts if one slackens the skid after having alternatively directed the kart in opposite directions. On the other hand, the small jump of the vehicles ( to see Super Mario Kart ), disappeared.

No-claims bonus

You can obtain objects while passing through the object boxes which strew the arenas and circuits. The objects which you receive are randomly given. Here the standard objects that you will find in the play, but do not forget that there are also special objects…

  • Banana: These skins very slipping can be posed at strategic places to make to valser your rivals.

  • green Carapace: They move in straight line and make be turned over the karts that they strike.
  • red Carapace: They seek the kart nearest in front of you and make him make a pirouette.
  • Distorts object box: These boxes have the appearance misleading of object boxes. Place them at a place where your adversaries will not expect it.
  • Mushroom: These turbo mushrooms make you profit from a few moments of acceleration.
  • Triple Mushroom: They make you profit from three consecutive accelerations.
  • blue Carapace: This winged wonder moves directly towards the kart in first position and explodes with its contact… Any other kart taken in the zone of explosion will make a pirouette or will undergo the same consequences that the 1er.TRES DIFFICULT TO AVOID (To make a vigorous turning.)!!!!
  • Flash: It strikes all your adversaries at the same time, making them turn them-even and lose their objects. They reduce and their maximum speed is temporarily reduced.
  • Star: They make the karts invincible and very slightly increase their speed during a limited time. Your kart will be found in the decoration if it is touched by a kart using a star.

Play solo

The against-the-watch mode makes it possible to improve on the circuits while being involved to beat its own times. As in the other episodes of the series, categories 50,100 or 150 DC allow to define the level of difficulty. The speed of the karts in 150 DC is then very fast and dynamic. In 50 cm, on the other hand, it is rather soft and thus ideal for the beginners. Whatever the category, one can reach of outset three cuts, traditional the Coupe Mushroom , Coupe Fleur and Coupe Star . With each time a gold cut is obtained in one of these championships (after a first place with general classification), the player is rewarded. Ca can be a new kart, a new arena for the mode Multijoueur, a novel mode of play, a new character or a new championship. Two new championships are thus to free: the Special Cup and the All Cup Turn . The mode mirror is also available. In addition to the traditional no-claims bonus of Super Mario Kart (green and red carapaces, bananas, mushrooms…) with the difference close all the characters as have special capacities as they only can collect.
  • Mario and Luigi launches fireballs.

  • Bowser and Bowser Jr. throws an enormous carapace devastating all on its passage.
  • Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong places a large banana (which bursts in three smaller bananas if somebody the key).
  • Peach and Daisy can be protected by forming a barrier from hearts around their kart and can steal the objects which touch them (only 2 times go).

  • Yoshi and Birdo randomly launches eggs (projectiles) depositing no-claims bonus on the ground after explosion.
  • Koopa Troopa and Paratroopa has a whole of 3 carapaces (red or green).
  • Baby Mario and Baby Luigi is drawn by enormous Chomp which devours all on its passage.
  • King Boo and Flora Piranha has all the special objects of the other characters.

Play multi-players

  • Championnat against another player

  • co-operative Jeu (the play into co-operative proposes with 2 players to play in team by using the same vehicle. A player is then “gunner” and the other “controls” and it is possible to reverse the roles at any time.)
  • Ballons (to touch the adversary three times to make him lose its three balloons)
  • Voleur of Sun (it is a question of capturing a sun and of keeping it until the end of the stopwatch)
  • Bataille of Bob-Omb (the players can be sent bombs)

It is possible to connect up to 8 GameCube to play 16 players.
