Marine seagull
The marine GoƩland ( Larus marinus ) is a species of the family of the Laridae.
Description
It is a large seagull (61 to 74 cm length for 1,4 to 1,7 m of scale) with the black back with the legs color flesh and the massive nozzle.
Identification
- Youthful: Gray color
- Adult: big size, wings and black and white back, legs color flesh, yellow nozzle with a red point.
- Subadulte, big size, contrasts marked between the back and the belly.
Surface of distribution
North-American coasts and islands of the North Atlantic. Coasts and estuaries of Scandinavia, Ireland, England, Brittany (ex: Point of Grouin), ventures inside the grounds in winter.
