Marina Barampama
Marina Barampama is a political woman Hutu Burundian born in 1969 with Bujumbura, old second vice-president of the September 7th 2006 with the February 12th 2007. Barampama is member of the National council for the defense of the democracy-Forces for the defense of the democracy.
Barapama followed studies of accountancy.
The September 5th 2006, the second vice-president Alice Nzomukunda resigns of her station. The Burundian Parliament invests Barampama in replacement on September 7th. With the Senate only 37 senators out of 49 are present and vote by 36 votes for. In the National Assembly, the groups of the Face for the democracy of Burundi of the Union for national progress and of the CNDD do not take part in the vote. Parliamentary groups UPRONA and FRODEBU threatened to dispute the legality of the procedure of election before the constitutional council because the quorum of the two-thirds was not reached.
The February 8th 2007, on bottom of conflict within the CNDD-FDD between the partisans of the president Pierre Nkurunziza and the general secretary of the CNDD-FDD Hussein Radjabu, Nkurunziza returns Barampama and names Gabriel Ntisezerana the very same day to succeed to him. Barampama, near to Radjabu, is shown by Nkurunziza of “ insubordination and irresponsibility ”.
