In 2001, eleven years old, it is pointed out while taking part in the television program Stars in residence where it was to sing with the singer Natasha St Pier. She again appears with the small screen with the the Fury of Celine , an emission in the honor of Céline Dion, in spring 2002 where she opens the spectacle by singing It was only one dream , the first song of Celine Dion.
For the be 2002, it records I would be there for you , in Duo with the Baryton Gino Quilico, which receives warm welcome in Quebec and is found on the album of Christmas of this last. Marilou appears several times then on television to interpret the song. Conquered, the companion of Celine Dion, the producer Rene Angélil, who had already noticed it with the fury , makes him sign a contract. From now on, the singer is related to the houses Sony Canada and Sony France, which will enable him to make known itself on the other side of the Atlantic.
With the Automne 2004, Marilou makes the first part of the concerts of the round Reviens of Garou, another inhabitant of Quebec also under the wing of Rene, which enables him to be pointed out in Europe.
