Marielle Goitschel

Marielle Goitschel , born the September 28th 1945 with Holy-Maxime, is a alpine skier French, originating in Valley-in Isere.

Biography

It enters in team of France at only 14 years.

Two years later, at the time of the championships of the world of 1962 in Chamonix, it becomes world champion of compound (with 16 years and half, record of precocity) and gains a money medal in slalom.

Its duet made up with his/her big sister Christine mark the French Alpine skiing and the Olympic Games of 1964 with Innsbruck with one doubled Christine-Marielle Goitschel in slalom, then new doubled Marielle-Christine Goitschel as a giant.

With Portillo at the time of the championships of the world of 1966, Marielle Goitschel flies over the competition and gains 3 titles (descent, giant and compound) and a money medal in slalom.

With the Olympic Games of 1968 with Grenoble, it does not gain " que" the Olympic title in slalom.

It decides, after these Olympic Games, at only 23 years, to stop its career, crowned of 2 Olympic titles and 5 championships of the world.
