Marie de Châtillon (1323-1363)

Marie de Châtillon , born in 1323, died in 1363 was girl of Guy I {{er}} of Châtillon, count de Blois and of Chartres, and Marguerite de Valois
Not his/her mother, it was niece of the king Philippe VI. She married Raoul (1320 † 1346), duke of Lorraine, and had:
- two girls twin, born and dead in 1343.
- Jean Ier (1346 † 1390), duke of Lorraine
With died of her husband, it was regent of the duchy until in 1353. From the end of the year 1347, it starts a conflict with Adhémar de Monteil, bishop of Metz, which will last ten years, intersected with truces. It has relation between good neighborhood and Yolande of Flanders, countess regent of Bar, sign with it two peace treaty, in 1347 and the November 8th 1348. But peace is broken in 1350 and Marie de Châtillon, Jean, count de Salm and Waléran, count de Deux-Ponts, penetrate in Barrois and devastate it. Yolande and the bishop of Metz, in reprisals, devastates the surroundings of Nancy. One has needed the mediation of the Pape Clément VI and the intervention of the king Jean II the Good to bring back peace in 1352.
Marie remaria towards the end of 1352 with noble Lorraine, Ferry, count de Linange. In accordance with the will of her husband, it then had to share regency with the count Eberhard II of Wurtemberg.
