Marie NDiaye

Marie NDiaye was born with Pithiviers (France) the June 4th 1967 from a father from origin sénégalaise and a French mother. She started to write towards the age of 12-13 years and was only 18 years old during the publication of its first work. It obtained a purse which enabled him to study during one year with the Villa Médicis with Rome. It is the sister of PAP Ndiaye, historian and university lecturer with the École of the high studies in social sciences and marries it of the writer Jean-Yves Cendrey, with whom it wrote a whole of three plays entitled Puzzle in 2007.

Marie NDiaye received the Prix Femina in 2001 with her novel Rosie Carp and its part Papa must eat figure with the repertory of the Comédie-Française.
