Marie Costing
Marie Costing is a French singer born with Poitiers in 1966.
Raised in a family where one sings, it is naturally of Marie Costing enters in music. When it obtains its first guitar, all starts: she listens to Brel, Brassens, Barbara and made small scenes in Indre with her brother and her sister by taking again to Maxime the Forester and Graeme Allwright. In 1989, it sings in first part of Tri Yann.
In 1992, it leaves Sandman which obtains good criticisms. Influenced by Julos Beaucarne and Morice Benin, the poetic texts of Costing, very picturesque, the Nature and the problems of our daily newspaper sing, which registers it in the line of the poet-musicians. Examining the small details which one is unaware of, Costing is good adviser and rather optimist. In 2000, its album to live is greeted for its engagement and its poetic and musical depth; one will note the presence of Arnaud Métivier, the accordionist of Kent.

Article of Chorus , 2000:
Superbe woman. Any smile, any nature. The life is beautiful to live, the such Earth of the men… when those really like it. As a Jean Mouchès feels his forest, Marie Costing Portrait page 154 fleure its countryside, of the inciting small pocket to the spinal sap of the songs. The first - whose title makes current echo with that of the large Turkish poet Nazim Hikmet, " Songs of the men " - is undoubtedly most beautiful: " It is the life which one gives /Et in the ground that one works/That one will see rising corn/It is in the middle of our work/That the song of the men will be heard/And that the liberté." will be seen; The full, voluntary voice and cordial catalysis words, while (multiple accordion of Arnaud Méthivier and the low one of Cyrille Peltier (it signs arrangements and three melodies, including two with Marie) insufflates colors to them. One thinks of Michele Bernard; it is the same heart with the humanistic work, but, side forms, Marie Courant affirms without question a very personal talent, a fertile rigor of writing.Nothing to throw here, therefore. It would be necessary all to quote, of the revolt (" Side garden, side court " , " A young tramp ") with tenderness in love (" Door - closed " , " The turn of my house "), while passing by the saving escape in the imaginary one (" I confabulate "). One could as notice as without seeming to touch there, the rates/rhythms of " Wild camp-site " and " Outing in the country " court, with greediness, reggae and chaloupements come besides… The popular fiber musics reveal sometimes unexpected cousinages.
Only one regret: admittedly it is to better remain on its hunger that enquiquiner to the brim, but per hour of CD, eleven titles for hardly more than one half an hour, it is quite short.
