Marie Christmas

Marie Christmas , of his true name Marie Mullet , is a French poet and writer, born the February 16th 1883 with Auxerre, deceased in this same city the December 23rd 1967.

It had been born in a very cultivated but not very religious family. She remained unmarried and moved away very little from her birthplace. Its life was not so smooth for as much: young love disappointed (and makes an attempt it of a great love which will never come), the death of his/her young brother one shortly after Christmas (from where it took its pseudonym), the crises of its faith… all that underlies a poetry with the airs of traditional Chanson. With its death, it bequeaths its work to the Company of Historical and Natural Sciences of Yonne. This learned society (born in 1847) manages and studies its work through many publications.
