Marie Cantacuzène
Marie Cantacuzène (1878 - 1969) of her true name Maria Rosetti-Tescani, was the wife in first weddings of Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino. This one, known as “the Nabob” because of his immense fortune, was president of the Council of Ministers and made build the Cantacuzène Palate with Bucharest. Marie Cantacuzène (often called Marouka), after the death of its husband in 1929, remaria in 1937 with the type-setter Georges Enesco (1881 - 1955).
