Marie-constancy of Portugal (1313-1357)

Marie-Constancy of Portugal , born in 1313, died in 1357. It became queen of Castille by marriage.

Girl of Alphonse IV of Portugal and Beatrice de Castille (1293-1359).

Marie-constancy of Portugal married in 1327 Alphonse XI of Castille. This marriage was a failure, Alphonse preferring with his wife her mistress, Leonor de Guzmán.

Union of Marie-Constancy of Portugal and Alphonse XI of Castille was born, in 1534, the future Pierre I {{er}} of Castille (Pierre the Cruel one).

With died of her husband, Marie-Constancy made assassinate Leonor de Guzmán, under its eyes and those of his/her son. She took a kind of regency in the direction or she dominated the beginning of reign of her son. She was assassinated on the order of this last, which had before made it exile in Portugal.
