Marie-Therese of Deux-Siciles
Marie-Therese of Deux-Siciles , also called Marie-Therese of Bourbon-Siciles, was born in 1822 and died in 1889.
Girl of François Ier of Deux-Siciles and of Marie-Isabelle of Spain, it was empress of the Brésil by her marriage in 1843, with Pierre II of Brazil.
From this union will be born:
- Isabelle de Bragance (1846 - 1921), imperial princess, regent of Brazil. She married the prince Gaston of Orleans (1842 - 1922), count of Have.
- Léopoldine de Bragance (1847 - 1971). She married the prince Auguste of Saxony-Cobourg-Gotha (1842 - 1922), from which descends the current line from Saxony-Cobourg-Gotha.
Marie-Therese of Deux-Siciles is thus the great-great-grandmother of Henri of Orleans (1933-), current “Count de Paris” and claiming orleanist with the throne of France.
