Marie-Therese Scherrer

Marie-Therese Scherrer (1708-1768), in religion Sr Maria-Diomira of the verb incarnated , is a catholic nun which is recognized like Vénérable.

February 23rd, 1708 with Genoa, Marie-Therese Scherrer (Serri under old the orthography) is born from Jean Scherrer and Therese Curty , originating in Freiburg (Swiss).

At three years his/her mother sent it to the school with her sisters, already at five years she wished to become nun but it is in Freiburg after its first communion that she took really conscience of her vocation and entered in the nasturtiums of Fanano (Modena). She gently fell asleep on January 14th, 1768 in Odeur of holiness.

Its lawsuit in beatification was open on December 21st, 1901 by the Pope Leon XIII. Sr Maria-Diomira is Vénérable of the Holy Roman Catholic church.
