Marie-Therese Bushel
Marie-Therese Bushel (born the August 25th 1940 with Talence), is a political woman French.
Biography
Academic of profession, it is elected appointed at the time of the legislative elections of 1986 to the favor of the poll proportional; placed in noneligible position on the list UDF of the department, it profits indeed from the nominations of Pierre Méhaignerie and Alain Madelin with the government to make its entry with the National Assembly. For the legislative elections of 1988, it becomes the substitute for the deputy RPR Michel Cointat and does not sit during this legislature. In 1993, it decides to be presented into dissenting against Michel Cointat, invested officially by UDF and RPR. With the general surprise, it precedes with the first turn the former mayor of Fougères which was appointed since 1967; with the second turn, it carries it with 59,40% on the socialist candidate. She is re-elected in 1997 and 2002, year when she joined the rows of the UMP like the near total of the departmental executives of the UDF.She is then named with the Gouvernement Jean-Pierre Raffarin (2) following these elections. She will be Secretary of State to the People handicapped until the rehandling of March 31st, 2004. She does not find therefore her seat of deputy; indeed, its substitute, Daniel Prévost, refuse to resign. It is however it which is invested by UMP for the legislative elections of 2007. Arrival definitely at the head with the first turn, it seems to be forwarded to a comfortable re-election, more especially as it profits from a fratricidal fight between the official candidate from the Verts and a dissident PRG to find itself vis-a-vis a candidate MoDem, Thierry Benoît. It is however the latter which creates the feeling at the evening of the June 17th 2007 by beating Marie-Therese Boisseau with more than 55% of the voices. This one indeed knew a cruel disillusion while losing nearly 400 votes between the two turns.
It was also vice-president of the District council of Brittany during two mandates, of 1992 with 2004. It loses this mandate following the change of regional majority but remains elected like regional adviser; it is from now on its only electoral mandate.
