Marie-Noëlle Lienemann
Marie-Noëlle Lienemann is a political woman of the Socialist party born the July 12th 1951 with Belfort. She was elected European Député in June 2004. Normalienne (former student of ENS Cachan, promotion 1972, section chemistry), it is a specialist in the environmental questions and housing. She will be the first of the Socialists to the municipal elections of 2008 in Hénin-Beaumont.
Political course
She adheres to the Socialist party in 1971, where she is close to CERES, and becomes in 1973, national secretary of the socialist Students. In 1974, it joined the sensitivity of Michel Rocard. It becomes very young, mayor-assistant of Massy (91) in 1979 and the following year, general adviser of the Essonne. In 1981, it does not support the internal candidature of François Mitterrand. It leaves the current rocardien in 1983. It becomes appointed European in 1984, then is elected appointed of the Essonne in 1988. It becomes Maire of Athis-Mons (91) in 1989.
With the congress of Rennes in 1990, its motion SESAME (socialist European Sensitivity self-management mondialist ecologist) obtains only 1% of the voices but meets an undeniable success of regard. SESAME to survive while keeping its autonomy joins with Laurent Fabius, but one notices especially convergences with the Gauche Socialist of Julien Dray and Jean-Luc Mélenchon. This motion gains 20% of the voices. It supports it with the candidature for the socialist investiture for presidential the 2007. This one obtains 18,66%.
Always very invested in the questions of Housing, it chairs since 2003 the National federation of the cooperative society of HLM. It published in September 2005 a work the Scandal of housing at JC Gawsewitch. It animates a club " urbanity républicaine"
In June 2007, after the defeat of Ségolène Royal to the presidential election, it signs a call to renovate the left (Left Future), with other personalities of the PS and PC (Paul Quilès, Jean-Claude Gayssot, Francis Wurtz.).
November 19th, 2007, Marie-Noëlle Lienemann was unanimously elected by the federal council of the socialist federation of Pas-de-Calais first of the Socialists to the municipal elections of 2008 in Hénin Beaumont.
