Marie-Louise of Montmorency-Laval

Marie-Louise of Laval-Montmorency , or simply of Laval was born in 1723. She goes down in hot line from Mathieu II from Montmorency, constable of France. She was the last and forty-third Abbesse of Montmartre.

Biography

It had become deaf and paralyzed of all its members when the French revolution burst and did not immigrate. The August 16th 1792, the religious bénédictines of Montmartre receive the order to leave their abbey. It was withdrawn then with Saint-Denis with nine of its nuns but found an asylum temporary with the castle of Bondy at the marchioness of Crussol d' Amboise.

Without regard for its age and its infirmities, it was arrested and imprisoned by the revolutionists with Saint-Lazare and was condemned to died and guillotinée the July 24th 1794 (Thermidor 5 year II), with the Barrier of the Throne with Paris.
