Marie-Jose Perec , born the May 9th 1968 with Low-Ground, Guadeloupe, is a French athlete , of 1m 80 per 58 kg, having been selected 25 times in team of France have (and 1 as juniors).

It is the only French athlete who is 3 times Olympic champion: in 1992 with the Plays of Barcelona on 400 meters and twice with the Plays of Atlanta in 1996 out of 400 meters and 200 meters. It is also one of rare to have realized doubled with the Olympic Games on 200 and 400 m, and the only one to have gained two Olympiads of continuation the title over 400 Mr.

It was world champion on 400 meters in 1991 and 1995, champion of Europe on 400 m in 1994 and of the relay 4x400 m then, champion of Europe in room on 200 m in 1989, and victorious of its test of world cup on 200 m in 1992 (moreover 2nd with the relay 4x100 m). It gained its tests of cut of Final Europe “has” on 200 m in 1996 (2nd in 1993), out of 400 m in 1991, and 400 m hedges in 1995 (in “Finale B”, it overrode 400 m and 4x100 m in 1989). During one period, the gazelle of the Antilles held the records of France of the 100 m (10" 96 in 1991), of the 200 m (in 1991,1992, and 1993 in 21" 99), of the 400 m (in 1988,1989,1990,1991 to 3 recoveries, 1992, and 1996 in 48" 25), of the 400 m hedges (in 1995 to 4 recoveries, of which 53" 21) and of the relays 4x100 m (1992 and 1995) and 4x400 Mr. It was also champion of France of the 100 m in 1991, of the 200m in 1992 and 1995, and of the 400 m hedges and the 200m in room the same year 1989.

It gained inter alia great meetings Atlanta (1996), Paris-Gas of France (1996), Lausanne (1996)…, and especially finally of Grand Prix IAAF on 400 m, with Paris, in 1994.

Its two Olympic titles of 1996 are the last broad outlines of its prize list. Indeed it does not run almost any more as of 1997 because of multiple wounds.
