Marie-Josée Croze (born on February 23rd, 1970 in Montreal) is a Québécois actress.
Biography
Marie-Josée Croze grew in a modest family of adoption of Longueuil, in suburbs of Montreal, with four other children. She made studies in visual arts with the Cégep of the Old man Montreal of 1986 to 1987.She began her career in 1993 in the feature-length film from George Mihalka, Florida , and then obtained several roles on television and with the cinema, as well in English as in French. She in particular played in the televised series Chambres downtown , the mask , The Hunger and Urgences . She also took part in several courts and medium-length films, of which the Rat of the cities and the Rat of the fields , Femme of dream and HLA Identique .
In 2000, it held the title role of the film Maelström of Denis Villeneuve, work which gave him an international visibility. Indeed, the Official reception of Jutra and the Genius, just as the Festival of film of Vancouver and that of Mons were unanimous: it was devoted better actress. In 2001, she played in Ararat , a film of Atom Egoyan bearing on the Armenian genocide. In 2003, it incarnated a junkie in the cruel Invasions of Denys Arcand, role which was worth to him the price of female role to the Cannes festival. She learned besides that she gained this prestigious honor on line on television, whereas she took part in the emission Christiane Cart on line , on the waves of Radio-Canada.
More recently, it turned in several French films: Ordo , Lies and treasons , Small Chartreuse , Jacquou Crunching It and do not say it to anybody . One also could see it in Munich of Steven Spielberg.
It also took part in more experimental projects, such as the picture story revisited Mars and Avril , a hybrid work published in two volumes with the editions of the Water melon, in 2006.
