Marie-Emile Boismard

Claude (known as Marie-Emile) Boismard (1916 - April 23rd 2004) was a exégète French.

Laid off in theology (Saulchoir) and in biblical sciences (Rome), he was professor of New Testament to the biblical and archaeological École French of Jerusalem and at the University of Freiburg in Switzerland. He took in particular part in the translation of the Bible of Jerusalem and carried out the Synopse of the four Gospels . In 1988, it had been made Doctor Honoris causa of the Catholic Université of Leuwen (KUL). The Dominican French marked the Exégèse 20th century century and influenced several generations of students and researchers.
