Marianne Breslauer

Marianne Breslauer (1909 in Berlin 2001 in Zurich) was German photographer.

Biography

In the Twenties and beginning of the year 30, it belonged to the circle of Man Ray.

It produced the memorable portraits of famous the écrivaine Swiss Annemarie Schwarzenbach, known for its its female frequentation, standpoint antifascists and her taste for drugs in particular. Breslauer described his/her Schwarzenbach friend died tragically at the 34 years age, like: “neither a woman, nor a man, but an angel, an archangel…”

She also took photographs of streets.

In 1925, it used the very last camera of the German mark Leica, marketed as from 1924. It modernized photography, while bringing original prospects to him.
