Marguerite Wilson
Marguerite Wilson , by his marriage Marguerite Pelouze , born with Paris on May 24th, 1836.
Sister elder of the politician Daniel Wilson, Marguerite Wilson is born in an extremely fortunate family. Having early lost her parents, died in 1843 and 1849, it deals with the education of her brother starting from 1857. Between them is born an extremely strong relation, which one claims that it will go until the inceste.
December 3rd 1857, it marries Eugene Philippe Pelouze, doctor, wire of the chemist Theophilus-Jules Pelouze. The couple will not have a child. The marriage east dissolves on March 17th 1869, at the request of Eugene Pelouze, who would have surprised his wife with his brother-in-law.
In 1861, in the majority of Daniel Wilson, the brother and the sister leave the joint possession. Marguerite Pelouze settles in the hotel Bochart de Saron, 17 street from the University in Paris (VIIe). In May 1864, it buys for 850.000 francs the Château of Chenonceau (Indre-et-Loire) with 136 hectares of grounds. She carries out important restorations of there 1867 with 1878, in order to give the castle in her state of the 16th century, by in particular removing most of the modifications made by Catherine de Médicis.
In 1879, Antoine Marmontel recommends to Marguerite Pelouze her pupil Claude Debussy as pianist to supplement the small chamber orchestra of its castle. The Debussy young person spends the summer to Chenonceaux and is dazzled by this sumptuous woman, refined, impassioned Wagner.
She becomes the mistress of the president of the Republic Jules Grévy, and supports the marriage of the girl of this last, Alice, with her brother.
In 1888, it goes bankrupt and must sell the castle of Chenonceau which is repurchased by the Building and loan association.
