Marenne oyster-Oléron
Name Marenne oyster-Oléron is that of the oyster basin French, in the department of the Charente-Maritime, which includes/understands:
- the Marsh of the estuary of the Seudre, Marenne oyster in north on Right Bank and Tremblade in the south on left bank until Éguille at the bottom of the Estuary,
- the Marsh of the south-east of the island of Oléron,
- marshes of Bourcefranc (common located between the island of Oléron and Marenne oyster) extended to north to the point of Chapus,
Shell-fish breeders estimating to receive too much fresh water in winter, and not enough in summer.
By metonymy, it is also the name of the Huître S which come from this coalfield. These oysters, of type “hollow”, initially high in full water then refined into clear, correspond to names:
